Deep, honest guides to the four things that make or break a Patong trip — no fluff, no thin listings.
Not another thin directory.
We write the guide we wish we'd had — long, honest and useful — then make it effortless to act on.
Deep, honest guides
Real answers, not ten links and a price widget. We tell you what's worth it and what to skip — and we never sell rankings.
Written from the ground
Neighbourhoods, beaches and the small stuff — transfers, scams, the right beach on a windy day — covered the way a local friend would.
Prices you can check
Every price is a dated range, so you know what to expect — and when it was last checked.
Our promise
“We recommend places the way we'd tell a friend: no pay-to-rank, no thin listings, no copy-paste guides. If it isn't worth your time or your money, it isn't in the guide.”
Patong, frequently asked
When is the best time to visit Patong?
November to February is the dry, breezy high season — calm seas and the best weather, but busier and pricier. May to October is greener and cheaper, with short tropical downpours and occasional rough surf.
How do I get from Phuket Airport to Patong?
It's about 45–60 minutes by road. A pre-booked private transfer is the easiest and clearest on price; metered taxis and ride-hailing also work. Plan for roughly 800–1,200 THB for a private car.
Is Patong good for families?
Yes, if you choose the right base. The northern end of the beach is calmer and more relaxed, while the area around Bangla Road is the nightlife core — lively at night and better avoided late with small children.
Is Patong expensive?
It can be either. Street food, local transport and many beaches are cheap; beach clubs, imported drinks and tours add up fast. With a bit of planning, Patong works on most budgets.
